Interim In-house Senior Counsel - maternity cover

We're working with a well-known purpose-led organisation looking to appoint a senior in-house lawyer to cover a maternity leave of a pivotal role within its in-house legal team.

This is a strategic leadership position, combining commercial legal work with responsibility for shaping legal strategy, partnering with senior stakeholders and leading a high-performing team. You'll be a trusted advisor to executive leadership, negotiating complex commercial agreements, driving continuous improvement and helping modernise legal service delivery through technology and innovation.

The successful candidate will be a qualified lawyer with significant post-qualification experience gained in-house and/or private practice, together with commercial contracts expertise and outstanding drafting and negotiation skills. You'll have a track record of advising on high-value, business-critical matters, influencing senior stakeholders, leading legal teams and balancing strategic thinking with pragmatic, solutions-focused advice.
