The Role
\nMy client is a well-established engineering and manufacturing business looking to recruit an experienced HR Business Partner to support their growing workforce.
\nThis is a varied, hands-on generalist role where you'll partner with managers across the business, providing advice and support on the full employee lifecycle. You'll play a key role in recruitment, employee relations, organisational development, training, engagement and HR projects while helping to drive a positive working culture.
\nThis is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and wants to make a real impact across the business.
\nKey Responsibilities

- Provide expert HR advice and guidance to managers on employee relations matters including disciplinary, grievance, absence management and performance. \n
- Support recruitment activities from vacancy approval through to onboarding, working closely with hiring managers and recruitment partners. \n
- Manage apprenticeship and early careers programmes, building relationships with colleges, training providers and local education partners. \n
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with current UK employment legislation. \n
- Support organisational change initiatives, restructures and consultation processes. \n
- Act as a trusted advisor to both managers and employees across all areas of HR. \n
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation. \n
- Assist with payroll administration and employee benefits. \n
- Identify training and development needs and support the performance review process. \n
- Produce HR reports and monitor key people metrics. \n
- Support employee engagement, wellbeing and inclusion initiatives. \n
- Build effective relationships across all departments and contribute to continuous improvement projects. \n
- Promote a positive Health & Safety culture and ensure compliance with company procedures. \n
The Candidate
\nPrevious experience in a generalist HR Business Partner, HR Advisor or HR Officer role.
\nExperience supporting managers with a wide range of employee relations cases.
\nCIPD Level 5 qualified (or working towards), or equivalent practical experience.
\nGood knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
\nExperience managing recruitment and onboarding activities.
\nStrong interest or previous experience supporting apprenticeship and early careers programmes.
\nExcellent communication, coaching and stakeholder management skills.
\nAble to manage a varied workload and prioritise effectively.
\nHigh level of professionalism with the ability to handle confidential information.
\nProficient in Microsoft Office and HR systems.
\nDesirable
\nPrevious experience within manufacturing, engineering or an industrial environment.
\nExperience supporting organisational change programmes.
\nExperience working with recognised Trade Unions.
\nExposure to HR reporting and people analytics.
