You'll lead major manufacturing investment projects that increase production capacity, improve efficiency and introduce new manufacturing technologies into one of the UK's most advanced engineering environments.
\nWorking at the heart of Operations, you'll develop business cases for multi-million-pound capital investment, secure project funding and lead cross-functional teams from concept through to commissioning.
\nIf you're an experienced Manufacturing Engineer, Industrial Engineer or Capital Projects Engineer looking to move into a highly strategic role where you can genuinely influence how products are manufactured, this offers a unique opportunity.
\nThe Role
\nYou'll work across Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain and Commercial teams to identify manufacturing improvement opportunities, develop investment proposals and deliver projects that increase capacity, improve efficiency and support future growth.
\nKey responsibilities include:

- Lead manufacturing capital investment projects from concept through to delivery. \n
- Develop business cases, cost models and ROI justifications for new equipment and production improvements. \n
- Conduct capacity planning and identify manufacturing bottlenecks. \n
- Specify, procure and commission new manufacturing equipment and production systems. \n
- Manage project budgets, timelines and delivery risks. \n
- Support new product introduction by providing manufacturing cost estimates and production planning inputs. \n
- Drive Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives. \n
- Lead cross-functional project teams and manage external suppliers throughout project delivery. \n
About You
\nWe're looking for someone with:
\n- \n
- Degree or HND in Manufacturing, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering (or similar). \n
- Experience delivering manufacturing, industrial or capital investment projects. \n
- Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing and process improvement techniques. \n
- Experience developing business cases and managing project budgets. \n
- Excellent stakeholder management and project leadership skills. \n
- Experience within regulated manufacturing environments such as aerospace, defence, automotive, FMCG, medical devices, pharmaceuticals or similar would be highly advantageous. \n
