Senior Planner

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Project Planner to support the successful delivery of complex engineering and construction activities within a highly regulated environment. This role will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimising project schedules, ensuring alignment with programme objectives and delivery milestones.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 (or equivalent planning tools)
\n
• Integrate multiple workstreams into a single, coherent programme
\n
• Monitor progress against plan and provide regular updates to key stakeholders
\n
• Identify risks, delays, and opportunities, and support mitigation strategies
\n
• Work closely with project managers, engineers, and site teams to ensure accurate planning inputs
\n
• Produce reports, dashboards, and forecasts to support decision-making
\n
• Ensure planning standards and procedures are adhered to throughout the project lifecycle
\n
• Support change control processes and assess schedule impacts
\n

Key Requirements:

\n
• Proven experience as a Planner within major engineering, construction, or infrastructure projects
\n
• Strong working knowledge of Primavera P6 (essential)
\n
• Experience working in highly regulated environments (e.g. nuclear, oil & gas, or similar)
\n
• Understanding of project controls, earned value, and risk management principles
\n
• Ability to manage complex schedules with multiple stakeholders
\n
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
\n
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
\n

Desirable:

• Previous experience on large-scale, multi-disciplinary programmes
\n
• Familiarity with mechanical, piping, or process systems projects
\n
• Relevant project management or planning qualifications
\n
