Children’s Ofsted Registered Manager
\nLocation: Tring, HP23
\nHours: 40 hours per week
\nContract: Full Time, Permanent
\nSalary: £47000 to £60,000 + up to £5000 bonus
\nApplicants must have the legal right to work in the UK. Unfortunately, we are not able to offer visa sponsorship, including Tier 2/Skilled Worker visa.
\nAbout the Role
\nWe are seeking an experienced and passionate Children’s Registered Manager to lead our Ofsted-registered residential home, providing outstanding care and support to children and young people.
\nAs the Registered Manager, you will be responsible for delivering the home's Statement of Purpose, ensuring the highest standards of care, and leading a dedicated team of Residential Support Workers. This is a fantastic opportunity for a strong, compassionate leader who is committed to making a real difference in the lives of children and young people.
\nKey Responsibilities

- Take overall responsibility for the day-to-day running of the residential home in line with Ofsted regulations, Children’s Homes Regulations, and Quality Standards. \n
- Develop, implement, and deliver the Statement of Purpose and a clear service development plan. \n
- Lead, motivate, and manage staff to deliver high-quality, child-centred care. \n
- Oversee safeguarding practices and ensure all regulatory standards are consistently met. \n
- Manage recruitment, supervision, appraisal, and ongoing training for staff. \n
- Ensure effective budget management and adherence to financial procedures. \n
- Liaise with external agencies, placing authorities, and multi-disciplinary teams. \n
- Ensure the home environment is safe, nurturing, and promotes positive outcomes for children. \n
- Maintain high standards of documentation and reporting, ready for inspection and compliance purposes. \n
- Participate in the on-call rota as part of management support. \n
About You
\nWe’re looking for a confident and inspiring leader who shares our passion for delivering exceptional care.
\nEssential Requirements:
\n- \n
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care and Children & Young People’s Services (or willingness to work towards it). \n
- At least 3 years of experience in a senior role within a children’s residential or social care setting. \n
- Strong understanding of Children’s Homes Regulations, safeguarding procedures, and the Children’s Act. \n
- Proven leadership, communication, and organisational skills. \n
- Ability to motivate and develop a professional team. \n
- Experience managing budgets and service delivery. \n
- Commitment to continuous professional development. \n
Desirable:
\n- \n
- Relevant degree or Registered Managers Award. \n
- Experience of leading a home through an Ofsted inspection with positive outcomes. \n
