Senior Quantity Surveyor

\nPurpose of the job
\nWe are seeking a Quantity Surveying/Commercial professional to join our team based either out of our Risley or Milton offices. The role will be responsible for delivering the commercial and contract management of our projects, from inception to final account. You will work closely with project teams and support functions, and build strong relationships with our clients and supply chain. Your enthusiastic, proactive and professional approach will be key to successful project commercial outcomes.

\nKey Accountabilities
\nProvide commercial delivery of the following aspects for projects that operate on a lump sum, remeasurable, target cost, or reimbursable basis:

- Project cash flow and budget \n
- Contractual terms & conditions (both client and supply chain) \n
- Interim applications in accordance with contract procedures \n
- Change management, in accordance with contract procedures \n
- Negotiation of contract amendments, including review of terms & conditions \n
- Subcontract account management, including review of interim applications, preparation of payment certificates, management and assessment of potential changes, and final accounting upon completion \n
- Preparation of internal cost / commercial reports, including accurate margin forecasting \n
- Compliance with all relevant Health & Safety regulations \n
Qualifications and Experience
\n- \n
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or in related subject (candidates with appropriate experience may be considered) \n
- 5+ years of experience in quantity surveying in the engineering or construction industry \n
- Good working knowledge of the NEC suite of contracts (particularly Options C & E) \n
- Demonstrable experience of successfully carrying out Quantity Surveying duties on multiple engineering and/or construction projects \n
- Excellent oral and written communication skills \n
- Ability to build excellent relationships with project teams, clients, and the supply chain \n
- Ability to work well under pressure to meet tight deadlines \n
- PC literate in the Microsoft Office suite \n
Desirable
\n- \n
- Proficient in the use of the CEMAR Contract Management System \n
- Current SC Clearance, or ability to achieve SC Clearance through NUVIA \n
- Line Management experience \n
- General understanding of nuclear process plant and equipment \n
- Full UK driving licence \n
- Flexibility to travel to other UK offices and sites on occasion as necessary \n
