The Opportunity
\nAn exciting opportunity has arisen at a leading Renewable Energy Developer with a diverse technology portfolio (wind, storage and emerging technologies). Our client is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to provide experienced, commercially-focused legal support across its UK platform.
\nThis role sits as a Lead in‑house Lawyer, acting as a trusted adviser to senior leadership, embedded in the business, providing both strategic and day-to-day legal support that manages legal risk, transactions, projects and external stakeholders.
\nKey Focus
\n- \n
- Development, construction and operational contracts across multiple Renewables technologies; \n
- Land agreements (options, leases, servitudes, easements and wayleaves); \n
- Project acquisitions, disposals, joint ventures and investments; \n
- Advising project teams on legal risk and contract strategy; \n
- EPC, O&M, grid, consultancy and framework agreements; and \n
- Advising senior stakeholders and managing external counsel. \n
About You
\n- \n
- Scottish‑qualified solicitor with at least 4+ years’ relevant PQE; \n
- Strong commercial and/or corporate background; \n
- Renewables, energy or infrastructure experience preferred (but other sectors considered); \n
- Knowledge of construction and engineering contracts beneficial; \n
- Excellent drafting and negotiation skills, with a pragmatic and solutions-focused approach; \n
- Confident, pragmatic and commercially minded, with the ability to manage stakeholders and influence at senior levels. \n
