A leading Legal 500 ranked law firm is seeking an Insurance Solicitor or Senior Associate to join its growing Insurance, Risk & Regulatory team in London.

\n


\n

This opportunity would suit a lawyer with experience in insurance coverage and claims disputes, particularly within the property damage sector. The team advises insurers, reinsurers, MGAs and other market participants on a wide range of contentious and non-contentious insurance matters, with a significant focus on complex property damage claims, policy interpretation and coverage issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advising on high-value and complex property damage claims across a range of sectors.
  • \n
  • Providing strategic coverage advice to insurers and reinsurers on property and related risks.
  • \n
  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating insurance policy wordings, with a particular emphasis on property damage policies.
  • \n
  • Managing coverage disputes, including litigation and alternative dispute resolution proceedings.
  • \n
  • Handling subrogated recovery actions and related claims.
  • \n
  • Representing clients in matters before the Commercial Court and Technology & Construction Court.
  • \n
  • Supporting clients on broader insurance, risk and regulatory matters.
  • \n
  • Contributing to business development initiatives, client training and thought leadership activities.
  • \n

Candidate Requirements

    \n
  • Qualified Solicitor with 2+ years' PQE gained within a recognised insurance practice or in-house insurance environment.
  • \n
  • Experience advising on property damage claims and coverage disputes.
  • \n
  • Strong knowledge of insurance and reinsurance principles.
  • \n
  • Excellent technical, drafting and client management skills.
  • \n
  • A commercial and pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
