Role: Procurement Business Partner

Salary: c £66,000 per annum

Location: London wide/hybrid

Role Overview:-

\n

This role plays a key role in helping the organisation to become a world class procurement partner of choice This is a challenging, fast paced and influential role that will contribute to the delivery and day-to-day operation of a best in class procurement function. The postholder will play a pivotal role providing first line procurement advice and support through a regular face-to-face on-site presence at different client sites. You will support the delivery of value for money procurement processes and savings and efficiencies.

Main Responsibilities

  • To develop strong relationships with member stakeholders and be viewed as a trusted advisor,
  • \n
  • To present the organisation as a progressive, proactive, responsive and innovative organisation with a purpose to improve peoples’ lives through the delivery of best in class procurement, with an ambition to reach ‘world-class’
  • \n
  • To ensure that all procurement advice given is compliant with statutory requirements, as well as relevant local policies / standards / procedures
  • \n
  • To understand the contracts that are in place
  • \n
  • To understand procurement workplans and to continuously support the delivery of these workplans
  • \n
  • Spend data analysis and enable the delivery of Cost Improvement Plan (CIP) savings and efficiencies
  • \n
  • To promote the efficiencies programme and to work with members to continuously develop new efficiency opportunities
  • \n
  • To identify collaborative procurement opportunities
  • \n
  • To maintain a customer contracts register
  • \n
  • To ensure that all relevant internal information systems are kept up-to-date
  • \n
  • To regularly check the customer contracts register and offer early intervention procurement support for any upcoming customer contract extensions and renewals in conjunction with the wider category teams
  • \n

Qualifications/Experience

\n
    \n
  • Professional procurement qualification (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) or significant and extensive equivalent procurement experience demonstrated through proven delivery
  • \n
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent professional experience
  • \n
  • Evidence of continuing professional development
  • \n
  • Public sector procurement experience including strategic sourcing, above threshold tendering, spend analytics, catalogue purchasing and framework call offs
  • \n
  • Analytics and management reporting
  • \n
  • Public sector customer service experience / customer stakeholder management
  • \n
  • Knowledge of public procurement, legislation and regulations
  • \n
