CNC Machinist / Programmer Location: Castle Donington, DerbyJob Type: Permanent | Full Time The Opportunity Are you an experienced CNC Machinist / Programmer looking to work on complex, high-precision aerospace components?We are recruiting for a skilled CNC Machinist / Programmer to join a leading aerospace manufacturing business based in Castle Donington. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a highly skilled machine shop, manufacturing precision components for the aerospace industry while working with the latest multi-axis CNC technology.You'll be involved in both new product introduction (NPI) and established production programmes, working closely with Engineering and Manufacturing teams to deliver high-quality components in a fast-paced, quality-driven environment.Key Responsibilities\n

- Set, operate and program 5-axis CNC milling machines. \n
- Manufacture complex, high-precision aerospace components to tight tolerances. \n
- Select appropriate tooling, cutting strategies, feeds and speeds to maximise efficiency. \n
- Interpret complex engineering drawings and GD&T. \n
- Carry out in-process inspections using precision measuring equipment. \n
- Work closely with Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering to support NPI projects. \n
- Optimise machining processes to improve cycle times and productivity. \n
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across the machine shop. \n
- Perform routine machine maintenance and TPM activities. \n
- Maintain high standards of quality, housekeeping and 5S. \n
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with company procedures. \n

- Previous experience as a CNC Machinist / Programmer within aerospace, motorsport or another precision engineering environment. \n
- Strong experience with 5-axis CNC milling machines. \n
- Knowledge of CNC programming using ISO or Fanuc controls. \n
- Ability to read complex engineering drawings and understand GD&T. \n
- Experience machining high-performance or exotic materials. \n
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing right-first-time components. \n
- Strong problem-solving skills and a continuous improvement mindset. \n
- Able to work independently while contributing effectively within a team. \n
