\nWe are looking for multiple experienced, motivated, and skilled professionals to join a growing engineering consultancy delivering innovative design solutions across a wide range of construction sectors. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced temporary works engineer to join a collaborative team working on diverse and technically challenging projects in Maidstone.
\nAbout the Role
\nAs a temporary works engineer, you will play a key role in delivering safe, practical, and cost-effective engineering solutions for construction projects throughout the UK and internationally. Applicants should have at least three years of experience in a design-focused engineering role, with a strong understanding of temporary works design and BS 5975.
\nThis position offers the opportunity to work on a broad portfolio of projects while contributing to innovative engineering solutions in a supportive and forward-thinking environment.
\nKey Responsibilities

- Deliver high-quality temporary works designs for a variety of construction projects. \n
- Produce clear engineering calculations, technical drawings, and design documentation. \n
- Plan, design, and coordinate temporary works using industry-standard software and engineering principles. \n
- Carry out site visits, inspections, and surveys to develop safe and practical engineering solutions. \n
- Provide technical support to colleagues and clients while managing multiple projects to demanding deadlines. \n
- Continue developing technical knowledge and remain up to date with current industry standards and best practice. \n
- Promote a strong safety culture by applying the requirements of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 (CDM 2015). \n
- Mentor and support junior engineers, contributing to the development of the wider team. \n
Essential Skills & Experience
\n- \n
- Degree-qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering. \n
- Ideally working towards Chartered Engineer status with a recognised professional institution. \n
- A minimum of three years' experience in a design-based engineering role. \n
- Strong knowledge of temporary works design principles and BS 5975. \n
- Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills. \n
- Proficient in 2D AutoCAD. \n
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, sections, and general arrangements. \n
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. \n
- Strong IT and technical software skills. \n
Desirable Skills & Experience
\n- \n
- Experience supervising or mentoring junior engineers. \n
- Knowledge of 3D modelling or drafting software. \n
- Experience in permanent works civil or structural engineering. \n
- Previous experience as a temporary works engineer on a variety of construction projects. \n
- A proactive and collaborative approach with the ambition to develop into a senior temporary works engineer. \n
