Trainee Metalworker

Trainee Metalwork Opportunity - East GrinsteadSalary: £27,000 - £28,000 DOELloyd Recruitment Services are working with an excellent local client who is looking for a Trainee Metalworker to join their friendly and well-established manufacturing team near East Grinstead.This is an entry-level role, working for a leading metal fabrications company.

You don't need previous experience - just a practical approach, enthusiasm to learn, and a great attitude. Full training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities:

\n
• Learn how to operate and set up machinery used in metal fabrication and production
\n
• Use guillotines and press brakes to cut and shape sheet metal
\n
• Help fabricate components following technical drawings
\n
• Use hand tools (grinders, drills, jigsaws) as part of the production process
\n
• Work from engineering drawings and manager instructions
\n
• Support team members to meet production goals and deadlines
\n
• Help with packing, dispatch, and loading when required
\n
• Maintain tools and equipment, keeping your work area tidy and safe
\n
• Follow all workshop safety and quality procedures
\n

What We're Looking For:

\n
• Good basic maths skills (GCSE Grade 4 minimum or equivalent)
\n
• Practical, hands-on approach and willingness to learn new skills
\n
• Strong attention to detail and pride in producing quality work
\n
• Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle (due to location)
\n
• Any previous workshop, manufacturing, or technical experience is a bonus - but not essential
\n
