Job Description
We are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Technician to join a busy Fleet Services team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled technician looking for an immediate start within a professional workshop environment.
\nThe Role:
\nAs part of the Fleet Services team, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing and inspecting a diverse fleet of vehicles, including:
\n- \n
- Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGVs) \n
- Light Commercial Vehicles \n
- Municipal Vehicles \n
- Electric and Hybrid Vehicles \n
Key Responsibilities:
\n- \n
- Service, maintain and repair HGVs and other fleet vehicles \n
- Diagnose and repair hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical faults \n
- Prepare vehicles for MOT inspections and safety checks \n
- Carry out welding, fabrication and body repair work as required \n
- Respond to vehicle breakdowns and repair accident-damaged vehicles \n
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation \n
- Ensure high standards of workshop housekeeping and health & safety compliance \n
Essential Requirements:
\n- \n
- Level 3 City & Guilds in Heavy Motor Vehicle Engineering (or equivalent qualification) \n
- Full UK Driving Licence with Category C entitlement (Essential) \n
- DVSA Inspection and Testing Qualification \n
- Previous experience maintaining and repairing HGVs and commercial vehicles \n
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills \n
