Support Worker
Job Description
Working as a Senior Support Worker at Hill House your duties will include the following:

- Providing physical support which may include helping with household tasks and personal care. \n
- Providing emotional support for an individual and at times their families. \n
- Maintain the hygiene, dignity, health and safety of service users at all times. \n
- Encouraging and supporting the development of personal skills through hobbies and interests. \n
- Teaching life skills, such as shopping, using public transport and paying for bills. \n
- Working with other healthcare professionals to ensure that all care needs meet the highest possible standards. \n
- Assist in the design and administration of an evaluation of the care standards and care service provision. \n
- If applicable, assist in the administration of medication. \n

\nHill House is a Mental health residential home that is situated in the West Midlands; we aim to provide a high quality, safe and personalised service that promotes choice, dignity, control, and quality of life for all service users.
\nWe specialise in supporting people with mental health diagnoses and/or a learning disability who require 24hr residential support due to their complex needs and/or behaviour that are considered to be challenging.
\nThrough careful recruitment, induction, appraisals, supervision, and a training program that includes the assessment of mental health and wellbeing, risk management and rehabilitation we can achieve excellent outcomes for our residents.
\nNecessary Experience or Qualifications to work as a Support worker:

- Previous experience working as a Support Worker, Healthcare Assistant, Domiciliary Carer or Senior preferred. \n
- Caring, kind and considerate. \n
- Passionate about making a difference in someone else’s life. \n
- Good communication skills. \n
- Able handle sometimes challenging situations. \n
- Fun, energetic and able to build relationships with many different people. \n
