White City, London | Full Time | Hybrid (4 days office, 1 day home) | £70,000 - £80,000

We are partnering with an exciting, high-growth FinTech to appoint an experienced Employee Relations Specialist. This is a unique opportunity to join a scaling business where employee relations is a critical function, supporting a large operational workforce and enabling business performance through effective people management.

We're particularly interested in speaking with ER professionals who have managed high-volume, complex casework within operational environments, such as distribution centres, logistics, facilities management, manufacturing, retail, hospitality, transport, customer operations, or other workforce-heavy businesses.

The Role

\n

Reporting into the People team, you'll take ownership of a busy ER caseload, partnering closely with managers to navigate employee issues confidently, consistently, and in line with employment legislation. This role will suit someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys balancing commerciality with compliance, and is comfortable supporting managers who may have limited HR experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing a high-volume ER caseload across disciplinary, grievance, absence, performance, conduct and capability matters
  • \n
  • Leading complex performance management processes, including PIPs and capability cases
  • \n
  • Advising managers on probation reviews, attendance management and flexible working requests
  • \n
  • Coaching and upskilling line managers to handle people issues effectively and confidently
  • \n
  • Ensuring consistent application of policies, procedures and employment legislation
  • \n
  • Identifying ER trends, risks and areas for improvement across the organisation
  • \n
  • Supporting the development and implementation of scalable people policies and frameworks
  • \n
  • Partnering with stakeholders across the business to minimise risk and drive positive employee outcomes
  • \n

About You

\n
    \n
  • Proven experience managing a high-volume ER caseload within a fast-paced, operational environment
  • \n
  • Background in sectors such as logistics, distribution, facilities management, retail, manufacturing, transport, hospitality or other large workforce businesses
  • \n
  • Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and practical ER application
  • \n
  • Experience handling complex performance, conduct, grievance and absence cases from start to finish
  • \n
  • Comfortable working with operational managers and influencing stakeholders at all levels
  • \n
  • Resilient, pragmatic and commercially minded, with a solutions-focused approach
  • \n
  • Experience reviewing and improving policies and ER processes would be highly advantageous
  • \n
  • Able to work on a hybrid basis, with 4 days per week in the White City office
  • \n
