Logistics Operator-West Wales-up to £40k

The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Logistics Operator to join an exciting defence organisation in a critical period of growth.

This is a hands-on role where you'll ensure materials, components and finished products move efficiently throughout the operation, supporting manufacturing, engineering and flight-test teams in a fast-paced, high-technology environment.

Key Responsibilities

\n
• Receive, inspect and book in deliveries using the ERP system.
\n
• Store, pick and issue materials to support production.
\n
• Prepare production kits and replenish line-side stock.
\n
• Carry out stock checks and maintain accurate inventory records.
\n
• Support flight-test and servicing teams by issuing parts, tooling and consumables.
\n
• Pick, pack and dispatch customer and inter-site shipments, producing shipping documentation where required.
\n
• Operate material handling equipment safely while maintaining high housekeeping standards.
\n
• Ensure compliance with health & safety, quality and inventory control procedures.
\n

About You

You'll have experience within a logistics, warehouse, stores or goods-in environment, ideally within manufacturing, engineering, aerospace or defence.

You'll also have:

• Experience using ERP or warehouse management systems.
\n
• Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
\n
• A proactive, team-oriented approach.
\n
• The ability to maintain accurate stock records in a fast-paced environment.
\n
• Eligibility to obtain UK SC Security Clearance (BPSS required from day one).
\n

Desirable

\n
• Forklift licence.
\n
• ADR/IATA Dangerous Goods certification.
\n
• Experience handling ESD-sensitive or controlled stock.
\n
• Aerospace, defence or other regulated manufacturing experience.
\n
• Knowledge of 5S or Lean working practices.
\n
