\nAn innovative West London–based biomedical start-up, is designing and manufacturing advanced laboratory and clinical cell-manufacturing equipment. Their technology is revolutionising healthcare by automating the production of stem cells with minimal human intervention.

The Role
\nAs an Engineering Technician, you will work across a broad range of activities including:
\n- \n
- Mechanical assembly of enclosures, structures, robotic components, small drives and actuators, PCBAs, small looms assemblies, panels and screens, pumps and piping, filters, heaters \n
- In house and client-based fault finding, rectification and diagnostics \n
- Supplier liaison \n
- Component-level testing and commissioning \n
- Cleanroom, GMP, \n
This is a hands-on, varied position within a highly technical and fast-moving environment. Full training and instruction will be given and previous medical assembly experience is NOT essential.
\nWhat We’re Looking For

\nEssential Requirements:
\n- \n
- HNC, Apprenticeship or equivalent in Mechanical, Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering. \n
- Good understanding of engineering principles \n
- Able to read and interpret engineering drawings inc some knowledge of BS8888, schematics \n
- Minimum 3 years of practical electromechanical engineering assembly experience in a controlled environment to SOP/work instructions (eg assembly, manufacturing, machining, test, design or similar) within instrumentation, medical, robotic, aerospace, avionics, defence, nuclear, motorsport or any regulated industry \n
- Demonstrated ability to apply original thought and affect change (not simply follow instructions) \n
- Strong structured thinking — able to explain reasoning clearly (e.g. using “5 Whys” problem-solving) \n
- Clear, concise and effective communication skills within a benevolent and team-focused environment \n
- Right to work in UK indefinitely \n
- Commutable of west London or willing to relocate \n
Desirable
\n- \n
- 5 years plus experience as a technician within an instrumentation, process control, medical devices, robotic or fluidic systems environment \n
- Ability to read simple electrical/fluid schematics and use hand tools \n
- Some soldering to IPC level \n
- manual/low volume machining \n
- light fabrication \n
- ISO EN 13485 \n
