Automation Test Lead / Test Automation Architect
\nRole Summary :
\nWe are seeking an experienced Automation Test Lead to lead the modernization, optimization, and governance of a mission-critical enterprise test automation framework supporting Real-Time Gross Settlement (RTGS) systems within a highly regulated banking environment.
\nThe successful candidate will drive automation architecture decisions, framework re-engineering, reporting modernization, CI/CD integration, observability enhancements, and structured knowledge transfer while working closely with Solution Architects, Product Owners, Development Teams, and Business Stakeholders.
\nExperience Required
\n- \n
- 12-15+ years total IT experience \n
- 8+ years in Test Automation \n
- 5+ years leading enterprise automation programmes \n
- Strong delivery experience in Banking, Payments, Financial Services or Capital Markets \n
Key Responsibilities
\nAutomation Strategy & Leadership

- Define and implement enterprise automation roadmap \n
- Lead modernization of automation frameworks \n
- Drive automation governance and quality standards \n
- Establish reusable automation architecture patterns \n
- Define framework scalability standards \n
Framework Modernization
\n- \n
- Consolidate duplicated automation utilities \n
- Create reusable Java-based frameworks \n
- Implement feature-toggle execution architecture \n
- Optimize automation execution performance \n
- Design scalable test execution models supporting very large automation suites \n
Technical Leadership
\n- \n
- Provide technical guidance to SDETs and Automation Engineers \n
- Conduct code reviews and architecture reviews \n
- Support troubleshooting and defect resolution \n
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives \n
Reporting & Observability
\n- \n
- Implement HTML and JSON reporting capabilities \n
- Develop unified reporting dashboards \n
- Improve automation observability and diagnostics \n
- Introduce structured logging and correlation IDs \n
Delivery Governance
\n- \n
- Manage risks, dependencies, milestones and RAID activities \n
- Communicate delivery progress to governance forums \n
- Align delivery with Bank architecture standards \n
- Ensure adherence to SDLC processes \n
Knowledge Transfer
\n- \n
- Create formal training plans \n
- Deliver workshops and coaching sessions \n
- Maintain framework documentation \n
Upskill internal BAU teams throughout the engagement
