Job Description
Registered Building Inspector (Class 2F)
\nWe are recruiting for a Registered Building Inspector (Class 2F) to deliver Building Control services across a local authority area. This role will involve carrying out plan assessments, site inspections and regulatory enforcement, ensuring compliance with building legislation and safety standards. The successful candidate will manage a varied caseload of projects and support the delivery of a safe and compliant built environment.

\nKey Responsibilities
\n- \n
- Carry out restricted duties in line with your level of Registered Building Inspector (RBI) registration and professional competence. \n
- Assess building regulation applications and undertake Class 2F plan checking activities. \n
- Carry out site inspections across a range of domestic and non-domestic developments up to 18 metres in height. \n
- Ensure compliance with the Building Safety Act, Building Act, Building Regulations, London Building Acts and associated legislation. \n
- Manage a portfolio of building control projects from application through to completion. \n
- Undertake technical assessments and make regulatory decisions relating to building compliance. \n
- Investigate breaches of legislation and support enforcement action where required. \n
- Assess dangerous structures and coordinate appropriate emergency actions. \n
- Provide technical guidance to customers, contractors and other stakeholders. \n
- Support and supervise Registered Building Inspectors at lower registration classes where appropriate. \n
Skills and Experience
\n- \n
- Registered Building Inspector with Class 2F registration. \n
- Experience undertaking plan checking and site inspections across the full Class 2F scope of work. \n
- Strong knowledge of the Building Safety Act, Building Regulations and associated legislation. \n
- Experience managing building control projects from application through to completion. \n
- Experience undertaking enforcement activities and regulatory decision-making. \n
- Experience assessing dangerous structures is desirable. \n
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and construction details. \n
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. \n
- Ability to manage a varied workload and work independently. \n
