MacGregor Black are partnering with a FMCG business on the search for a Procurement Category Manager. This is a perm role based in the Midlands.

\n


\n

Key Responsibilities:

\n


\n
    \n
  • Represent the focal point of Procurement within your category and demonstrate subject matter expertise alongside strong functional leadership, managing the procurement process.
  • \n
  • Develop and maintain business wide end to end spend process and governance through appropriate policy and procedural controls.
  • \n
  • Collaborate across the business to develop purchasing systems and business process, understand individual departmental needs.
  • \n
  • Represent the business in contract negotiations, creating robust contracts and protecting the interests of the organisation.
  • \n
  • Manage supplier relationships, focussing on key suppliers to maintain open dialogue and develop strong relationships.
  • \n
  • Identify supply weaknesses and deviations in economic conditions and protect supply with contingency.
  • \n
  • Drive cost control and cost saving opportunities, reporting on spend across all categories.
  • \n
  • Review all current suppliers for suitability and develop an approved suppliers list.
  • \n

What We're Looking For:

\n
    \n
  • CIPs qualification desirable
  • \n
  • Experience managing packaging, ingredients, raw materials, food manufacturing, FMCG or similar supply categories
  • \n
  • Strong procurement or category experience, ideally in direct spend
  • \n
  • Strong people management & development background
  • \n
  • Strong organisational skills
  • \n
  • Results driven
  • \n
  • Strong collaboration culture
  • \n

Salary – up to 60k + benefits
