Associate Director - Infrastructure Planning
Job Description
Associate Director | Infrastructure Planning (DCO) | London
\nWhat if your next move wasn't just another Associate Director position?
\nWhat if it gave you the opportunity to influence nationally significant infrastructure projects, work alongside some of the UK's most experienced DCO planners and genuinely shape the future of a growing team?
\nI'm currently partnering with an established planning consultancy that has built an outstanding reputation across the infrastructure and energy sectors. Due to continued growth, they're looking to appoint an Associate Director to join their London office.
\nThis isn't a business standing still.
\nThe team continues to secure high-profile instructions across energy, transport, water and major infrastructure, creating the opportunity for an experienced infrastructure planner to take on a leading role within an ambitious and collaborative business.
\nThe opportunity
\nAs an Associate Director, you'll:
\n- \n
- Lead Development Consent Order projects from inception through to examination. \n
- Act as a trusted adviser to a broad range of private sector clients. \n
- Work alongside an experienced leadership team recognised within the infrastructure planning market. \n
- Play an active role in business development, client relationships and winning new work. \n
- Mentor and develop junior members of the team. \n
- Help shape the continued growth and direction of the infrastructure business. \n
You'll work across a varied portfolio of nationally significant infrastructure projects, giving you the opportunity to lead schemes of genuine scale while remaining close to clients and project teams.
\nAbout you
\nI'm keen to speak with individuals who:
\n- \n
- Have strong Development Consent Order experience. \n
- Are currently operating at Associate Director level or are an experienced Associate ready to step up. \n
- Enjoy building long-term client relationships as well as delivering technically excellent planning advice. \n
- Want to play a visible role within a growing business rather than feeling like one person in a large corporate structure. \n
- Have the ambition to progress towards Director in the coming years. \n
Why this opportunity?
\nThere are plenty of infrastructure planning roles in the market.
\nVery few offer the combination of:
\n• High-quality, varied, nationally significant projects.
\n• Direct access to respected industry leaders.
\n• Genuine responsibility from day one.
\n• A collaborative, low-ego culture.
\n• A clear long-term pathway into Director.
\nIf you're happy where you are but curious about what else is out there, I'd be delighted to arrange a confidential conversation.
