The Role

As a Planner / Planning Consultant, you'll be involved in a broad range of projects from initial feasibility through to planning determination.

You'll work closely with clients, local authorities, specialist consultants and internal stakeholders, helping to deliver planning solutions across minerals, waste, environmental and land development projects.

This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of your work, develop specialist knowledge and build a long-term career within a sector that remains in high demand across the UK.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing and managing planning applications from inception through to determination
\n
• Producing Planning Statements and supporting documentation
\n
• Liaising with Local Authorities, statutory consultees and key stakeholders
\n
• Assisting in the development of planning strategies for a range of projects
\n
• Coordinating specialist inputs including ecology, highways, landscape and environmental disciplines
\n
• Monitoring application progress and supporting projects through the planning process
\n
• Building strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
\n
• Keeping up to date with planning policy and legislative changes
\n

About You

We're keen to speak with individuals who have planning experience and are looking to further develop their career within a specialist consultancy environment.

You may already be working within consultancy, local authority planning, environmental planning, infrastructure, development, minerals or waste.

Most importantly, you'll have a genuine interest in planning, a proactive approach and a desire to continue learning and developing.

We're Looking For

• Experience within planning or a related discipline
\n
• Good understanding of the UK planning system
\n
• Experience supporting or preparing planning applications
\n
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
\n
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
\n
• Previous exposure to minerals, waste, environmental or infrastructure projects would be highly advantageous
\n
• RTPI qualified, working towards Chartership or interested in pursuing professional development
\n
• Full UK Driving Licence
\n
