Are you looking for an in-house legal role where you'll do more than simply advise on day-to-day legal issues?

This is an excellent opportunity to join the legal team of a leading financial services organisation, supporting its Private Banking, Wealth Management and Retail Investments business. You'll work closely with senior stakeholders, advising on strategic initiatives, new products, regulatory developments and commercially significant projects while building specialist expertise within a collaborative and supportive team.

Whether you're currently in private practice or already working in-house, this role offers the chance to broaden your experience and play a key role in shaping business decisions.

The Opportunity

As Legal Counsel, you'll provide practical, commercially focused legal advice across a broad range of wealth management and retail investment matters. Working alongside experienced colleagues, you'll support business growth while helping stakeholders navigate legal and regulatory risk.

Key responsibilities include:

• Advising on wealth management and retail investment products and services.
\n
• Supporting strategic projects, business transformation and new initiatives.
\n
• Identifying legal and regulatory risks and providing pragmatic solutions.
\n
• Working closely with Legal, Risk, Compliance and Governance teams.
\n
• Building strong relationships with senior stakeholders across the business.
\n
• Helping improve legal processes and ways of working.
\n

About You

You'll be a qualified lawyer with experience gained either in private practice or in-house and have experience within wealth management, retail investments or the wider financial services sector.

You'll also bring:

• Strong commercial judgement and a pragmatic approach to legal advice.
\n
• An understanding of the financial services regulatory environment.
\n
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
\n
• A collaborative approach and the ability to manage a varied workload.
\n

Experience advising on retail investment funds would be advantageous but is not essential.
