PAM Specialist - £410P/D (Inside IR35) – 5 Month Contract – Hybrid 2/3 Days in Oxford – BPSS Required
\nOverview
\nWe are seeking an experienced Privileged Access Management (PAM) Specialist to join a major UK government research organisation on a long‑term programme of work. This is a hands‑on technical role focused on designing, implementing, and managing enterprise‑grade PAM solutions to secure privileged access across complex infrastructure.
\nYou will play a key role in strengthening identity security, ensuring robust credential protection, and supporting the organisation’s wider cyber security strategy.
\nKey Responsibilities

- Implement, configure, and manage enterprise PAM toolkits. \n
- Configure and support Privileged Remote Access solutions. \n
- Manage credential vaulting, automated password rotation, and check-in/check-out workflows. \n
- Configure and maintain session monitoring and recording. \n
- Support discovery, onboarding, and lifecycle management for service accounts. \n
- Onboard Windows, Linux/Unix, and network devices into PAM platforms. \n
- Manage privileged account controls within Active Directory. \n
- Integrate PAM solutions with SIEM tools for event ingestion, correlation, and alerting. \n
- Troubleshoot connector, policy, and session issues. \n
- Produce high-quality technical documentation and runbooks. \n
Essential Experience
\n- \n
- Proven hands-on experience deploying and managing PAM solutions. \n
- Strong knowledge of Privileged Remote Access technologies. \n
- Expertise in credential vaulting and password lifecycle automation. \n
- Experience configuring privileged session recording/monitoring. \n
- Familiarity with service account discovery and automated governance. \n
- Experience onboarding multi‑platform systems (Windows/Linux/network devices). \n
- Understanding of AD privileged identity management. \n
- Experience with SIEM integrations for PAM audit logging. \n
- Working knowledge of ISO 27001 and NIST CSF. \n
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills. \n
- Excellent documentation capability. \n
- Eligible for SC clearance. \n
Desirable Skills
\n- \n
- Degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, or related field. \n
- Certifications in BeyondTrust (Password Safe, Privileged Remote Access). \n
- Experience with BeyondTrust EPM, CyberArk, or Delinea. \n
- Scripting skills in PowerShell or Python. \n
- Experience securing privileged access to databases (SQL Server, Oracle). \n
- Familiarity with ITSM/change control processes. \n
- Previous work within public sector or critical national infrastructure. \n
- Understanding of OT/ICS environments. \n
