Senior Quantity Surveyor

Senior Quantity Surveyor – Infrastructure | Freelance Contract

I'm currently supporting a leading infrastructure contractor with an urgent requirement for an experienced Commercial Manager or Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a major project in the South West.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on a high-profile infrastructure programme, taking ownership of commercial management across project delivery while working alongside experienced operational and commercial teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the commercial delivery of a major infrastructure project.
\n
• Manage subcontractor procurement, valuations, variations, claims and final accounts.
\n
• Monitor commercial risk and maintain project risk registers.
\n
• Administer compensation events and identify commercial opportunities.
\n
• Produce accurate forecasting, cost reporting and financial updates.
\n
• Build strong relationships with Project Managers and operational teams.
\n
• Attend project meetings and maintain robust commercial records.
\n
• Ensure compliance with company procedures and HSEQ requirements.

What we're looking for:

'14; Strong Quantity Surveying / Commercial Management background.

'14; Infrastructure, utilities, civil engineering or energy project experience.

'14; Strong understanding of NEC contracts.

'14; Excellent forecasting and cost reporting experience.

'14; Confident managing subcontractor accounts from procurement through to final account.

'14; Ability to work collaboratively within project teams.

Location: South West England

Hybrid: 3 days per week on site is essential.
