HR Business Partner / ERP
\nEast London | £50,000 per annum | Fixed-Term Contract to Permanent - Hybrid - (2-3days)
\nWe are recruiting an experienced HRBP / ERP to join a busy and evolving People & Culture team within a complex, multi-service organisation.
\nThis is a hands-on, influential role with responsibility for leading a varied and high-volume employee relations caseload. You will act as a trusted adviser to managers and senior stakeholders, providing practical, commercially aware and legally compliant guidance across the full range of ER matters.
\nThe initial appointment will be on a fixed-term contract, with a clear opportunity for the role to become permanent.
\nKey responsibilities will include:
\n• Managing complex ER cases from initial advice through to resolution, including conduct, grievance, capability, performance and long-term absence
\n• Coaching managers to handle employee relations matters confidently, consistently and fairly
\n• Supporting organisational change programmes, including restructures, redundancies and TUPE transfers
\n• Working constructively with trade unions, employees and external partners
\n• Identifying emerging ER risks and recommending appropriate interventions
\n• Using case data and workforce trends to improve decision-making and reduce organisational risk
\n• Reviewing and improving HR policies, procedures, systems and manager guidance
\n• Managing relationships with external providers, including employment lawyers, occupational health specialists and mediators
\n• Delivering ER-related training and development to strengthen management capability
\n• Maintaining accurate, compliant and confidential employee relations records
\nAbout you
\nYou will be an established HR or Employee Relations professional with significant experience managing complex and high-volume casework within a fast-paced organisation.
\nYou should be able to demonstrate:
\n• Strong knowledge of UK employment law and employee relations best practice
\n• Experience working in a unionised environment
\n• Proven experience of restructures, redundancies, consultation and TUPE
\n• Confidence advising and influencing managers at all levels
\n• The ability to manage sensitive, contentious and high-risk cases independently
\n• Strong analytical skills and experience using ER data to identify trends and risks
\n• Excellent written communication, case documentation and report-writing skills
\n• A practical, balanced and people-focused approach to resolving workplace issues
\n• CIPD Level 5 qualification, CIPD membership or equivalent professional experience
\nThis opportunity would suit an experienced Employee Relations Partner, Senior HR Adviser, HR Business Partner or Employee Relations Manager seeking a challenging and varied role with the potential to develop into a permanent appointment.
