The Role

Reporting directly to the Partners, you'll lead the firm's finance function, ensuring robust financial management while providing commercially focused insight to support strategic decision-making.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Developing and delivering the firm's financial strategy, budgets and forecasts
\n
• Producing monthly management accounts, financial reports and KPI analysis
\n
• Managing cash flow, profitability, financial planning and working capital
\n
• Overseeing the firm's annual budgeting and audit processes
\n
• Monitoring financial performance across departments and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and profitability
\n
• Supporting the Partners with business planning, investment decisions and commercial analysis
\n
• Overseeing payroll, VAT, tax compliance and statutory reporting
\n
• Driving continuous improvement across financial systems, reporting and operational processes
\n

What We're Looking For

\n
• Solid finance experience gained within a law firm (essential)
\n
• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) preferred, although candidates without formal qualifications will be considered where they can demonstrate substantial legal finance experience
\n
• Strong understanding of Solicitors Accounts Rules and legal finance management
\n
• Experience partnering with senior leadership and influencing decision-making
\n
