High Yield Credit Analyst

Our client, a globally recognised institutional investment management firm is seeking a High Yield Specialist to join the global credit team. This individual will focus on identifying and evaluating opportunistic investments across the high yield, stressed and distressed credit universe.

Primary Duties

• Conduct detailed credit analysis and deliver high conviction investment recommendations for portfolio consideration
\n
• Build and maintain sophisticated financial models to evaluate company fundamentals and investment opportunities
\n
• Actively contribute to portfolio management through investment meetings, strategy discussions and portfolio construction support
\n
• Monitor sector and industry developments, presenting insights and investment implications to the wider team.
\n
• Drive idea generation and support continuous improvement of research processes
\n

Experience/Attributes

\n
• 4-8 years experience in fundamental credit research, with demonstrable exposure to high yield credit; distressed or special situations experience would be advantageous
\n
• Strong analytical and financial modelling capabilities, with a deep understanding of corporate credit fundamentals and capital structures
\n
• Excellent academic credentials
\n
• Strong commercial judgement and a genuine passion for credit investing
\n
• Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the confidence to articulate investment views to senior investment professionals
\n
