Commercial Legal Counsel - MedTech

Location: London (4 days per week in the office)

Salary: £85,000 - £100,000

A global leader in healthcare technology is seeking a commercially minded Legal Counsel to join its high-performing legal team. Operating at the forefront of innovation, the business develops cutting-edge medical technologies that improve patient outcomes worldwide. The role

Reporting into the senior legal leadership team, you will provide pragmatic legal support across a broad range of commercial and regulatory matters, with a particular focus on clinical trial agreements. You will work closely with internal stakeholders across clinical, regulatory, R&D, and commercial functions, advising on legal risk while enabling the business to achieve its strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate Clinical Trial Agreements (CTAs) with hospitals, research institutions, CROs, and other clinical partners.

• Advise on a wide range of commercial agreements supporting the business's MedTech operations.
\n
• Provide practical legal advice on clinical research, healthcare, and regulatory matters.
\n
• Support cross-functional teams throughout the lifecycle of clinical studies.
\n
• Identify legal risks and propose commercially pragmatic solutions.
\n
• Assist with wider corporate and commercial legal projects as required.
\n

About you

\n
• Qualified solicitor with approximately 4–6 years' PQE.
\n
• Strong experience negotiating Clinical Trial Agreements is essential.
\n
• Background gained within the life sciences, MedTech, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, biotech, or a leading law firm advising clients in these sectors.
\n
• Commercially minded with excellent drafting and negotiation skills.
\n
• Confident working independently while collaborating with a variety of business stakeholders.
\n
• Able to balance legal risk with commercial objectives in a fast-paced environment.
\n
