\nThe Role
\nWe are seeking an exceptional Assistant Event Manager to join our growing global events team.
\nThis is a fast-paced role for an organised, creative and highly proactive individual who thrives on
\ndelivering flawless luxury events. You will work closely with the Global Event Director to plan and
\nexecute a varied programme of international events including showroom openings, client dinners,
\nworkshops, product launches, in-house craft fairs and brand collaborations.
\nThe successful candidate will be equally comfortable executing event concepts, managing budgets,
\ncoordinating complex logistics and ensuring every guest experience reflects the exceptional
\nstandards of the de Gournay brand.
\nKey Responsibilities
\n• Help manage the planning and execution of UK and international events from concept
\nthrough to completion.
\n• Work closely with the Project Manager and Creative teams to deliver event stationery,
\ntablescapes and curated event spaces that celebrate and champion the de Gournay brand.• Produce detailed project plans and timelines, ensuring projects are delivered on time.
\n• Coordinate catering, floristry, entertainment, production and technical suppliers where
\nnecessary.
\n• Support Project Managers with RSVP management and seating plans.
\n• Travel internationally to deliver events on-site.
\n• Ensure every event is delivered to the highest luxury standard.
\n• Coordinate international shipping of products, samples, props and event materials.
\n• Manage travel and accommodation for staff and artists.
\n• Liaise with global showrooms to ensure seamless event delivery.
\n• Prepare detailed event schedules.
\n• Manage health & safety documentation and risk assessments where required.
\n• Prepare and assist manage event budgets.
\n• Track expenditure throughout the planning process.
\n• Negotiate favourable trade rates or loans for event props.
\n• Process invoices and reconcile final event costs.
\n• Build strong relationships with our global teams, particularly our distribution warehouse in
\nWiltshire and the Showroom Managers.
\n• Produce monthly in-house newsletters to communicate forthcoming calendar events and re-
\ncap past events.
\n• Support the Global Events Director in managing the Global Marketing Calendar.
\n• Maintain event documentation and reporting.
\n• Produce post-event evaluations including attendance, budgets and outcomes.
\n• Maintain event asset inventories.
\nAbout You
\nYou are naturally organised, calm under pressure and have meticulous attention to detail. You enjoy
\nsolving problems, anticipate issues before they arise and take genuine pride in delivering exceptional
\nexperiences. This is a hands-on role with multiple monthly events; you need to be a natural multitasker and enjoy leading and working within a team.
\nEssential Experience
\n• A degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing or a related discipline, or a minimum
\nof two years' experience supporting the delivery of luxury events.
\n• Excellent project management skills.
\n• Budget and financial management experience.
\n• Outstanding organisational skills.
\n• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
\n• Excellent written and verbal communication.
\n• Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
\n• Willingness to travel internationally.
\n• Full right to work in the UK.
\nDesirable
\n• Experience delivering international events.
\n• Experience within luxury brands, interior design, hospitality, fashion or art.
\n• Experience working with HNW and UHNW clients.
\n• Additional languages are advantageous.
