Job Description

We're partnering with a growing food manufacturing business looking for a detail-oriented Quality Control Assistant to support the delivery of exceptional food safety and quality standards. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced manufacturing environment where you'll play a key role in ensuring products consistently meet customer, retailer, and regulatory requirements while developing your technical career. Quality Control Assistant Permanent Manchester Mon - Fri 06:30 - 14:30 What You'll Be Doing: Carry out routine quality inspections on raw materials, in-process production, and finished products to ensure compliance with customer and company specifications Complete quality records and technical documentation accurately and in real time, maintaining full traceability and Quality Management System compliance Conduct hygiene inspections, GMP audits, and factory quality checks, helping to maintain exceptional food safety and housekeeping standards Investigate quality issues, customer complaints, and non-conformances, supporting root cause analysis and effective corrective actions Prepare product and environmental samples for testing, ensuring results are accurately recorded and communicated Support internal audits and continuous improvement initiatives, contributing to the site's audit readiness and technical compliance Work closely with Production, Hygiene, and Technical teams to promote a strong quality culture and deliver Right First Time performance Champion food safety, quality, and continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance processes and maintain high manufacturing standards What We're Looking For: Previous experience in a Quality Control, QA, Technical, or food manufacturing environment is advantageous but not essential Good understanding of food safety, hygiene, GMP, and quality assurance principles Excellent attention to detail with strong organisational and problem-solving skills Confident communicator who can work effectively both independently and as part of a cross-functional team Competent in Microsoft Office, with the ability to maintain accurate records and manage technical documentation If you're looking to build a rewarding career in food manufacturing and want to be part of a business committed to quality, food safety, and continuous improvement, this is the perfect opportunity to take the next step
