JOINER – NEW TOWN QUARTER, EDINBURGH 📍 Location: New Town Quarter, Edinburgh 💷 Rate: £23.00 per hour (CIS) ⏰ Hours: 8:00am - 6:00pm (9.5 hours paid daily) 📅 Duration: ASAP start – running until end of October JML are currently recruiting for an experienced Joiner to join a busy construction project in the New Town Quarter, Edinburgh. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled tradesperson looking for consistent, well-paid work through to the end of October. About the Role: We are seeking a reliable and experienced Joiner/Carpenter to carry out first and second fix joinery works on a residential/commercial development in Edinburgh's New Town Quarter. The successful candidate will work as part of an established site team, delivering high-quality carpentry and joinery works to programme. Key Duties & Responsibilities: '05; First fix joinery – stud walling, timber frame, floor joists, noggins '05; Second fix joinery – doors, door linings, skirting boards, architrave '05; Fitting ironmongery, locks, and hinges '05; Installing kitchen units, worktops, and fitted furniture (where required) '05; General finishing carpentry to a high standard '05; Reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications '05; Measuring, cutting, and fitting timber and manufactured boards '05; Working accurately to tight tolerances and finishes '05; Liaising with Site Managers and other trades on site '05; Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work area '05; Adhering to Health & Safety procedures at all times Essential Requirements: '05; Valid CSCS Card (Skilled Worker or Blue Card) '05; Proven experience as a Joiner/Carpenter on construction sites '05; Own hand tools (power tools desirable) '05; Right to Work in the UK '05; Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team '05; Strong attention to detail and quality of finish Desirable: ⭐ NVQ Level 2/3 in Carpentry & Joinery (or equivalent) ⭐ Experience on new build residential or commercial developments ⭐ Previous experience working in Edinburgh/Central Scotland Keywords: Joiner, Carpenter, First Fix, Second Fix, Bench Joiner, Site Joiner, Finish Carpenter, Timber Frame, CSCS, Construction, Edinburgh, New Town, Scotland, Residential Construction, Commercial Construction, Skilled Trades, CIS This is a great opportunity for an experienced Joiner to secure ongoing, well-paid work on a busy Edinburgh site through to the end of October. 📞 To apply or find out more, please get in touch today
