It's about helping every resident continue to enjoy the hobbies, interests and experiences that make life meaningful.We're looking for an enthusiastic Activities Assistant / Lifestyle Assistant to help deliver engaging activities and memorable experiences that enrich the lives of our residents and make every day something to look forward to.About the RoleAs an Activities Assistant, you'll spend time getting to know our residents, learning about their life stories, interests and aspirations so you can help create personalised activities that promote wellbeing, independence and social connection.Whether you're organising a craft session, supporting a community outing, celebrating a special occasion or simply sharing a conversation over a cup of tea, your role will have a lasting impact on residents' happiness and quality of life.Working alongside the Lifestyle Manager and wider team, you'll help create a vibrant programme of activities that reflects the unique personalities and preferences of everyone who lives in our home.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the planning and delivery of meaningful group and one-to-one activities tailored to residents' interests, abilities and life experiences.Build relationships with residents by learning about their hobbies, preferences and personal histories.Develop and maintain links with local schools, charities, churches and community organisations to enhance the activity programme.Help organise visits from entertainers, performers and external providers.Support larger events and resource-intensive activities to ensure residents can participate safely and enjoyably.Encourage colleagues to engage residents in meaningful interactions throughout the day and promote a whole-home approach to activities.Record activities and outcomes accurately on PCS, ensuring care plans and activity programmes remain up to date.Champion the My Life Story and Resident of the Day initiatives by maintaining accurate social information and encouraging personalised care.Gather photographs and stories for newsletters, noticeboards and social media, ensuring appropriate consent has been obtained.Promote a resident-led culture by sharing residents' preferences and life experiences with the wider team.Be flexible to support occasional evening activities and special events when required.About YouWe're looking for someone who:Has a positive, creative and enthusiastic personality.Enjoys building relationships and making people smile.Is compassionate, patient and genuinely interested in improving the lives of older people.Has excellent communication and organisational skills.Is confident working both independently and as part of a team.Is proactive, adaptable and full of ideas for meaningful engagement.Previous experience in activities, care or customer-facing roles is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.Working Pattern10:00am 4:00pmPermanent rolling rota of three consecutive shifts on followed by three consecutive shifts offAverage 21 hours per weekFlexibility to support occasional evening activities and events where required.PayPool 2: £13.53 per hourWhat We OfferFull induction training programmePaid breaksFully funded Blue Light CardFully funded Enhanced DBS checkRefer a Friend bonus schemeUniform tunic providedPay Day BreakfastFree meal on shiftOngoing training and development opportunitiesA rewarding role where every day brings the chance to make someone smileJoin Our TeamIf you're someone who loves creating positive experiences, encouraging participation and helping people live fulfilling lives, we'd love to hear from you.Your enthusiasm and creativity will help transform ordinary days into extraordinary memories for the people who call our home their own.Complete the application form below to apply today.Our screening and recruitment process is conducted in line with Crystal Care Collection's Safeguarding Policy.We are currently unable to offer sponsorship for this role.#IND6TPBN1_UKTJ
