Deputy Manager – Children's Home

Location: Croydon

Salary: £35,000-40,000

Hours: Full-time on site

Top Recruit is working with a growing children's care provider who are looking for an experienced Deputy Manager to join their new children's home.

\n


\n

This is an exciting opportunity to join the home as it prepares for Ofsted registration and play an important role in establishing a positive, safe and supportive environment for boys aged 11–17.

\n


\n

Working closely with the Registered Manager and senior leadership team, you will support the day-to-day running of the home, lead and motivate the care team, and ensure the young people receive the highest standard of care and support.

\n

The Role of Deputy Manager:

    \n
  • Supporting the Registered Manager with the daily running of the home.
  • \n
  • Leading, supporting and motivating the residential care team.
  • \n
  • Ensuring safeguarding and welfare are always a priority.
  • \n
  • Supporting care plans, risk assessments and positive behaviour management.
  • \n
  • Building strong relationships with young people and external professionals.
  • \n
  • Helping to ensure the home meets Ofsted and regulatory requirements.
  • \n
  • Deputising for the Registered Manager when required.
  • \n

About You:

\n
    \n
  • Previous experience working in a children's residential care setting.
  • \n
  • Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) – essential.
  • \n
  • Experience in a senior or supervisory role.
  • \n
  • Good understanding of safeguarding and children's care regulations.
  • \n
  • A caring, resilient and positive approach.
  • \n
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • \n
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • \n
