\nStockwell, London | SW9 | £39,075 per year | Full-Time, 40 hours per week Monday to Friday
\nWe are supporting a UK-leading nursery and childcare provider in finding an experienced Deputy Nursery Manager. This group operate over 40 nurseries across London, all rated Ofsted Outstanding or Good, with a unique focus on positive social impact in the communities they serve.
\nRated Good by Ofsted, this nursery in Stockwell is light and spacious, with separate rooms for different age groups and they also have a sensory room, a soft play room, and a large garden. The children enjoy different activities, from construction to science experiments, creating small world dolls’ houses and farms, yoga and gardening. The learning possibilities are endless!
\nThe Deputy Manager role is generally 80% room based and 20% office based so you will need to remain passionate about being actively involved in day-to-day operations supporting your teams, as well as be confident and comfortable with supporting the Nursery Manager to manage, improve, and grow the nursery behind the scenes. This nursery also has a larger cohort of children with SEND - it will be important to be confident in supporting and managing staff, children, and parents and SENCO experience would be an advantage!
\nYou can walk to the nursery in minutes - seconds if you're fast! - from Stockwell underground station and Irving Grove and Stockwell Gardens bus stops on the 2, 196, 333, and 345 bus routes. You can also easily get to the nursery from either Brixton station, and Clapham North and Clapham High Street stations.

You will need:
\n- \n
- A full and relevant Level 3 (or above) childcare qualification \n
- Proven experience managing or leading in an Early Years/Nursery environment with a coaching approach to developing a team of staff \n
- Comprehensive knowledge of the EYFS Framework \n
- Comprehensive knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies and procedures \n
- Proven experience and evidence of improving performance \n
- The ability to build strong, nurturing relationships with all stakeholders \n
- A genuine passion for childcare, child development, and community impact \n
- A child-centred approach to your work \n
