Planner – Dock Regeneration Project

Location: Southwark, London

Salary: £400-£475 per day Inside IR35

Employment Type: Full-time - Hybrid (3/4 days in the office)

The Opportunity

We are seeking a P6 Planner to join a major dock regeneration project in Southwark.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Planner with experience in reinforced concrete (RC) and concrete construction, combined with a solid understanding of NEC contracts and advanced proficiency in Primavera P6.

You will play a key role in developing, managing and reporting against the project programme, working closely with project delivery teams, subcontractors and senior stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, manage and maintain detailed project programmes using Primavera P6.
\n
• Monitor progress against baseline programmes and identify potential delays, risks and opportunities.
\n
• Prepare regular programme updates, progress reports and schedule analysis.
\n
• Support the development of short-, medium- and long-term programmes.
\n
• Work closely with project managers, site teams, commercial teams and subcontractors.
\n
• Coordinate programme interfaces and manage key project dependencies.
\n
• Develop mitigation, recovery and acceleration programmes where required.
\n
• Provide planning input into project reviews, risk management and change control.
\n
• Support the commercial and project teams in relation to programme matters under NEC contract arrangements.
\n
• Assist with the assessment of delay, change and programme impacts.
\n
• Ensure the project programme reflects construction methodology, sequencing and delivery requirements.
\n

Essential Experience

\n
• Proven experience working as a Senior Planner on major construction, civil engineering, infrastructure or regeneration projects.
\n
• Advanced experience using Primavera P6 – essential.
\n
• Strong experience working with NEC contracts – essential.
\n
• Proven experience with concrete and/or reinforced concrete (RC) construction – essential.
\n
• Experience working on complex, high-value projects with multiple interfaces.
\n
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, sequencing and project delivery.
\n
• Excellent programme management, analytical and communication skills.
\n

Desirable Experience

\n
• Experience working on major regeneration, infrastructure or marine-related projects.
\n
• Experience with NEC4 contracts.
\n
• Experience in a main contractor or specialist subcontractor environment.
\n
• Relevant planning, construction or engineering qualifications.
\n
