\nA welcoming and inclusive primary school in Sheffield is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) with a strong PE and Sports background to join our dedicated team.
\nThis is an exciting opportunity for a confident practitioner who is passionate about promoting physical education, healthy lifestyles, and positive learning experiences across the primary age range.
\nThe Role
\nThe successful candidate will:
\n- \n
- Deliver high-quality PE and sports sessions across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 \n
- Support teaching and learning across the wider curriculum when required \n
- Lead small group interventions and whole-class sessions \n
- Promote teamwork, resilience, and pupil wellbeing through sport \n
- Assist with school sports events, competitions, and extracurricular clubs \n
- Work closely with teachers and senior leaders to support pupil progress \n
- Provide classroom cover when necessary \n
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
\n- \n
- A recognised UK HLTA qualification or higher (essential) \n
- Previous experience working within a UK primary school setting \n
- A strong background in PE, sports coaching, or physical education \n
- Excellent behaviour management and communication skills \n
- The ability to engage and inspire children of all abilities \n
- A proactive, flexible, and positive attitude \n
- Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures \n
