\nThe Opportunity
\nAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a CDM Advisor to join a specialist team delivering Principal Designer services across a diverse portfolio of complex and high-profile projects.
\nThis position is ideal for someone with existing CDM / Principal Designer experience who is looking to further develop their expertise within a design-led environment. You will work alongside experienced Principal Designers, supporting the delivery of CDM services from concept through to construction while developing the skills and experience required to progress into a senior Principal Designer role.
\nThe role offers exposure to exceptional projects, a structured development pathway, ongoing mentoring, and the opportunity to work within a collaborative and supportive culture.
\nKey Responsibilities

- Support the delivery of Principal Designer services across a range of construction projects. \n
- Assist with design risk reviews and the application of the Principles of Prevention throughout the design process \n
- Work closely with project teams to identify, eliminate and mitigate risks during the pre-construction phase. \n
- Attend and contribute to design team meetings and risk workshops. \n
- Support senior Principal Designers on larger, more complex projects. \n
- Manage smaller projects independently with appropriate support and oversight. \n
- Review design information and provide advice relating to CDM compliance and best practice. \n
- Assist in the preparation of project documentation and reporting. \n
- Build relationships with clients, consultants and project stakeholders \n
About You
\nTo be successful in this role you will ideally have:
\n- \n
- 1-4 years' experience within a CDM Advisor, Principal Designer or similar health and safety role. \n
- Experience working within construction, consultancy, design or the built environment sector. \n
- A good understanding of CDM Regulations and the Principal Designer duty holder role \n
- Experience of pre-construction health and safety and design risk management. \n
- Knowledge of the Principles of Prevention and how they are applied during the design process. \n
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. \n
- A proactive attitude and willingness to develop professionally. \n
