Technical Scrum Master – Banking (Contract)

London or Edinburgh (1 day per week onsite)

6-month rolling contract (strong likelihood of extension)

We’re looking for an experienced Technical Scrum Master to join a high-performing technology team within a major banking client, supporting a digital mortgage platform.

This is a delivery-focused role where you’ll play a critical part in driving agile best practices, enabling teams, and ensuring consistent, high-quality delivery across a modern tech stack.

The Role

As a Scrum Master, you will:

• Lead and facilitate 2-week sprint cycles, including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives

• Drive delivery across features and roadmap commitments
\n
• Work closely with multiple Scrum teams to ensure alignment and dependencies are managed
\n
• Act as a true Agile practitioner, embedding best practices and continuous improvement
\n
• Balance servant leadership with delivery ownership (approx. 50/50 split)
\n
• Support teams working on the online mortgage channel, ensuring smooth product delivery
\n

What We’re Looking For

\n
• Proven experience as a Scrum Master in a technical environment
\n
• Strong understanding of Agile frameworks and delivery practices
\n
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced, delivery-driven environment
\n
• Experience working with cross-functional engineering teams
\n
• Exposure to banking or financial services (preferred, not essential)
\n
• Strong stakeholder management and facilitation skills
\n

Working Pattern

\n
• Hybrid model – 1 day per week onsite
\n
• London: flexible (often Friday availability)
\n
• Edinburgh: typically, Wednesdays
\n
• Collaboration across distributed teams
