Product Designer
Job Description
Product Designer - London Hybrid - 2 Days Onsite - Up to £60k - Permanent 🎨
\nAre you a product designer who takes real pride in their craft, someone who cares about the details, thinks clearly about complex problems, and wants to own their work end-to-end?
\nWe're hiring for a digital team that operates like a startup inside one of the world's leading professional services businesses. 60+ people, 5 years in, building tools used by cost and project managers across construction, infrastructure and life sciences.
\nThis one's a bit different though - you'd be joining right at the start of a new MVP product, building it out from scratch rather than iterating on something that already exists.
\n🖥️ The role
\nYou'll be one of the first designers on this product, working through discovery and shaping the early direction before things properly kick off in September. That means genuine 0-to-1 work - defining problems in a fair amount of ambiguity, high-fidelity designs, prototypes, and close collaboration with engineers and product owners from day one. You'll also be plugging into a genuinely sophisticated existing Figma design system (multiple libraries, modes, variables, interconnected files) as you build.
\nThis isn't a production-line design job. They want someone who can think strategically about problems, challenge where necessary, and help shape how a new product gets built.
\n'0F;️ What you'll be doing
\n- \n
- Own design for a new product from early discovery through to delivery \n
- Create high-fidelity designs, interactive prototypes and detailed specs \n
- Contribute to and extend the existing design system as the new product takes shape \n
- Collaborate closely with engineers and product owners day-to-day \n
- Use AI tooling to support system analysis, component consistency and documentation \n
- Help define patterns and approach for a product still finding its shape \n
🔍 What they're looking for
\n- \n
- 3+ years designing digital products, with a strong online portfolio showing UI work \n
- Comfortable working with ambiguity and defining problems from scratch \n
- Solid Figma skills at an org or enterprise level - modes, variables, multi-level libraries \n
- A good eye for visual design and a deep understanding of UI/UX best practices \n
- Basic HTML and CSS knowledge \n
- Genuine interest in AI-assisted design workflows \n
- Someone who collaborates naturally with engineers and thinks in systems \n
🏢 The setup
\nPermanent role, hybrid working with 2 days a week in their central London office. No-blame culture, strong team, genuine ownership of a product from its earliest stages.
\nIf this sounds like your kind of environment, drop me a message or hit apply!
