Credit Risk Manager – International Bank (London)
\n- \n
- Key 2LOD role within a well-capitalised international bank’s London platform \n
- Broad exposure across Corporate, FI and Sovereign credit portfolios \n
- Partner closely with Front Office while maintaining independent risk oversight \n
Core Responsibilities:
\n- \n
- Lead ongoing credit risk monitoring across a diverse wholesale portfolio (corporates, FIs, sovereigns) \n
- Oversee post-approval lifecycle: drawdowns, covenant tracking, conditions precedent and limit utilisation \n
- Ensure timely credit reviews, internal ratings and portfolio classification in line with policy \n
- Identify emerging risks through market intelligence, financial performance and sector trends \n
- Monitor breaches, KRIs and portfolio developments, ensuring appropriate escalation \n
- Support and challenge the 1LOD to maintain robust credit discipline and data integrity \n
- Contribute to the enhancement of credit risk frameworks, policies and controls \n
- Act as a key contact for credit risk guidance across the business \n
- Support governance processes, including Credit Committee coordination \n
Candidate Profile:
\n- \n
- Proven experience in Credit Risk within an international wholesale / corporate banking environment \n
- Strong technical knowledge of corporate lending, FI exposures and treasury products \n
- Deep understanding of credit lifecycle management and portfolio monitoring \n
- Familiarity with UK regulatory expectations and risk governance frameworks \n
- Confident stakeholder manager, able to engage and challenge senior front office colleagues \n
- Detail-oriented, analytical and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment \n
- Additional language skills (e.g. Mandarin) beneficial but not essential \n
