CNC Punch Programming Engineer

We are looking for an engineer to join our fast paced sub-contract manufacturing company. This position will be responsible for creating flat form CAD drawings for manufacture.

Experience

\n
• Ideally qualified, with at least 3 years of Manufacturing/Production experience in a Precision engineering environment.
\n
• Knowledge of sheet metal fabrications and CNC punching
\n

Responsibilities

\n
• Create sub assembly drawings, and program CNC Punch Press.
\n
• Reduce time in set ups and running times.
\n
• Check Programs for inefficiencies.
\n
• Challenge current methods and processes to ensure they are the best they can be.
\n
• Ensuring all documentation is detailed and accurate for staff to work too.
\n
• Identifying and Designing tools required for each job.
\n
• Identify tools and techniques to achieve individual jobs.
\n
• Help train production staff.
\n
• Co-ordinate/manage projects and proto-types to ensure jobs and projects are delivered on
\n
• Assist with programming and setting up machines for operators.
\n

Requirements

\n
• Previous experience in Programming CNC punch presses.
\n
• Analytical approach to problem solving.
\n
• Great communicational skills.
\n
