Job Description
The Nancy Oldfield Trust is a registered charity which offers accessible water activities and residential accommodation on the Norfolk Broads for visitors who are disabled and/or disadvantaged.
\nWorking from our office in Neatishead, 35hrs per week, Monday to Friday 9-4.30pm.
\nThis position will be the first point of contact for our visitors and their carers. The role demands excellent customer service, communication, organisational skills and an eye for detail.
\nOur Receptionist/Administrator will be expected to report to the Centre Manager. They will support all colleagues in the efficient running of the Trust, who work together to maintain the excellent reputation we have built up over the last 40 years.

Key Responsibilities:
\nGreeting visitors to the Trust, ensuring that a friendly, caring and positive welcome is always made.
\nManage incoming and outgoing telephone calls and email enquiries in a professional manner, and direct messages as necessary.
\nUtilise our electronic booking system to make new, and/or amend existing water activity/residential bookings, ensuring accurate records are always kept.
\nTaking cash and electronic payments as required and keeping accurate records.
\nSupport our volunteers by recording and relaying information for their activity each day.
\nPerform general administrative tasks such as inputting data, photocopying, scanning, and filing, ensuring that regularly used forms and leaflets are always available and kept up to date.
\nMaintaining the signing in and out book, ensuring that all visitors are compliant.
\nTo assist and support the Volunteers and Activities Manager and the Marketing, Events and Outreach Manager in their roles.
\nMaintain compliance with GDPR and confidentiality requirements.
\nTo undertake any other reasonable duties as required to support the Trust.
\nTo uphold the aims, ethos and reputation of the Trust at all times.

Qualifications required
\nA good level of general education
\n\n
Knowledge and Experience
\nExperience of customer focussed reception duties desirable
\nKnowledge of the voluntary sector would be an advantage
\nFamiliarity with disability/disadvantaged issues
\n\n
Skills
\nGood written and numeracy skills
\nEffective and confident communication skills – verbal and written are essential
\nGood computer literacy and familiarity with Microsoft applications is essential
\nFamiliarity with website and social media use
\nUnderstanding of equality and diversity issues in the workplace and in the provision of activities
\n\n
What we offer
\nAnnual salary of £23,660 (£13 per hr)
\nAnnual leave 25 days, plus extra days at Christmas
\nPension
\nAppointment subject to successful DBS check and 3 months’ probation
