Senior Accountant
Job Description
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced accountant to step into a highly visible senior role where your focus will be on reviewing, challenging and improving financial reporting quality rather than simply producing accounts. You'll work closely with both clients and junior team members, taking ownership of complex statutory reporting, consolidations and technical accounting matters.

- Review statutory accounts prepared by junior and part-qualified team members, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant accounting standards \n
- Oversee the preparation and delivery of financial statements for a diverse client portfolio \n
- Review and support the preparation of management accounts, corporation tax returns and personal tax returns \n
- Prepare and review consolidated group accounts for more complex client structures \n
- Act as a key technical point of contact for accounting and reporting queries \n
- Liaise directly with external auditors and respond to audit queries efficiently \n
- Identify areas for improvement and maintain high quality standards across assignments \n
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing clear and commercial advice \n
- Support, mentor and develop junior members of the team \n
- Work closely with senior leadership to ensure client deadlines and service standards are consistently achieved \n
Profile
\n- \n
- ACA or ACCA qualified \n
- Strong experience gained within an accountancy practice environment \n
- Experience reviewing and overseeing the work of others rather than solely preparing accounts \n
- Strong technical knowledge of statutory accounts preparation and financial reporting requirements \n
- Proven experience preparing and reviewing consolidated group accounts \n
- Experience liaising with auditors and resolving technical accounting queries \n
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality \n
- Strong communication skills with the confidence to engage with clients and colleagues at all levels \n
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and deliver within deadlines \n
