Role: Account Manager

Location: Brighton, East Sussex (Hybrid)

Hours: Full-time, 36.25 hours per week

\n

Pay: £27,000 basic salary plus up to £15,000 OTE

\n

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Account Manager to join one of our longstanding clients, a well-established service-led organisation based in Brighton.

\n

\n

This is a fantastic opportunity for a customer-focused sales professional to manage a portfolio of existing clients, build long-term relationships and support both customer retention and business growth. You will act as the main point of contact throughout the customer journey, providing a high level of service while identifying opportunities to increase account value.

The Requirements

  • Previous experience within account management, sales or customer relationship management
  • \n
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • \n
  • Strong sales, negotiation and objection-handling abilities
  • \n
  • Highly organised with excellent administrative skills
  • \n
  • Strong attention to detail and listening skills
  • \n
  • Commercial awareness with the ability to work towards sales and margin targets
  • \n
  • Ability to manage multiple customer accounts simultaneously
  • \n
  • Good IT skills and experience using CRM systems
  • \n
  • Full UK driving licence
  • \n
  • Willingness to undertake a DBS check where required
  • \n
  • Passion for delivering outstanding customer service and building long-term client relationships
  • \n

The Role

  • Manage a portfolio of existing customers and act as their main point of contact
  • \n
  • Deliver outstanding customer service while achieving retention and growth targets
  • \n
  • Build long-term relationships through regular communication and account management
  • \n
  • Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable services
  • \n
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure a seamless customer experience
  • \n
  • Maintain accurate customer information using CRM and internal systems
  • \n
  • Monitor sales performance, payment status and account profitability
  • \n
  • Identify opportunities to increase repeat business, referrals and account value
  • \n
  • Attend customer meetings and occasional external events
  • \n
  • Gather customer feedback and competitor information
  • \n
  • Collaborate with colleagues to improve service delivery and customer experience
  • \n
  • Work towards individual and team sales targets
  • \n
