Financial Planner
Job Description
An outstanding opportunity has arisen for an experienced Financial Planner to join a well-established and highly respected wealth management firm that is entering an exciting new phase of growth following its acquisition by a major national financial planning group.
\nThis is a rare succession planning opportunity rather than a traditional sales role. Several highly experienced Financial Planners are due to retire over the next 2-3 years, creating a structured handover of longstanding client relationships and offering genuine long-term career prospects.
\nFrom day one, you'll inherit an established portfolio generating approximately £250,000 of recurring income, allowing you to focus on delivering exceptional advice and client service rather than spending your time generating new business. Over the following 12-18 months, you'll work closely alongside senior advisers as they gradually transition their client relationships, with the longer-term opportunity to inherit a significantly larger client bank.
\n\nThe Role
\n- \n
- Working alongside an experienced team of Paraplanners and Client Administrators, you will: \n
- Deliver holistic financial planning advice to an established portfolio of HNW clients. \n
- Conduct annual reviews and build long-term client relationships. \n
- Provide advice across pensions, investments, retirement planning, protection and tax-efficient planning. \n
- Identify additional planning opportunities within your existing client bank. \n
- Ensure all advice meets FCA and Consumer Duty requirements. \n
- Work collaboratively with a highly experienced technical support team, allowing you to focus on clients and advice delivery. \n
What's on Offer?
\n- \n
- Basic salary of £50,000 with an inherited recurring income of approximately £250,000. \n
- Clear progression to a £70,000 basic salary as your client bank grows to around £350,000 recurring income. \n
- Long-term succession opportunity to inherit a substantial portfolio from retiring advisers. \n
- No new business targets and no expectation to generate business through cold prospecting. \n
- 25% bonus on additional business generated from your existing clients. \n
- 35% bonus on new clients introduced. \n
- Hybrid working (3 days in the office, 2 from home). \n
- Flexible start and finish times. \n
- Freedom to choose your office working days. \n
- Excellent administrative and Paraplanning support. \n
Benefits
\n- \n
- Annual bonus scheme. \n
- 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays, increasing with service. \n
- Birthday leave. \n
- Holiday purchase scheme. \n
- Enhanced parental leave. \n
- Pension scheme. \n
- Life assurance. \n
- Corporate eyecare. \n
- Fully funded professional qualifications and ongoing study support. \n
- Employee discounts and additional lifestyle benefits. \n
About You
\n- \n
- Applications are welcomed from experienced Financial Planners who: \n
- Hold Competent Adviser Status (CAS). \n
- Have experience providing holistic financial planning advice. \n
- Are Level 4 Diploma qualified, with those working towards Chartered status particularly encouraged to apply. \n
- Are passionate about delivering excellent client outcomes and developing long-term relationships. \n
- Live within approximately 20-25 miles of the office and are able to drive. \n
This is an exceptional opportunity for an adviser looking to inherit an established client bank, enjoy genuine work-life balance, and join a business with an exciting future and clear long-term career progression.
