Client Details

Our client is a well-established and growing engineering and construction business based in Warrington. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an ambitious Assistant Management Accountant to join their finance team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is actively studying towards CIMA and looking to gain hands-on management accounting experience within a supportive environment. You'll work closely with experienced finance professionals, receive ongoing development and study support, and play a key role in the company's continued success.

• Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts.
\n
• Producing balance sheet reconciliations.
\n
• Preparing accruals and prepayments.
\n
• Assisting with month-end and year-end processes.
\n
• Supporting budgeting and forecasting activities.
\n
• Analysing financial data and investigating variances.
\n
• Assisting with cash flow reporting.
\n
• Supporting project costing and financial reporting.
\n
• Maintaining fixed asset registers where required.
\n
• Working closely with operational teams to provide financial insight.
\n
• Supporting continuous improvements within finance processes.
\n

Profile

\n
• Previous experience in an Assistant Management Accountant, Assistant Accountant or similar finance role.
\n
• Active study towards the CIMA qualification.
\n
• A solid understanding of month-end accounting processes.
\n
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
\n
• Experience using accounting or ERP systems.
\n
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
\n
• Strong communication skills with the confidence to work with stakeholders across the business.
\n
• A proactive attitude and a genuine desire to develop your career in management accounting.
