As a result of their growth we have been engaged to recruit an additional part-time Bookkeeper & Payroll Administrator to join our close-knit team in Bury St Edmunds.

\nThe Role:
\nThis is a part time Bookkeeper & Payroll Administrator post, up to 20 hrs per week, where you'll play a key role in supporting both the firms' clients and internal team. Your responsibilities will include:
\nPayroll:
\n- \n
- Processing weekly and monthly payrolls \n
- Ensuring payroll accuracy and compliance \n
- Managing pension auto-enrolment obligations \n
Bookkeeping
\n- \n
- Maintaining accurate bookkeeping records \n
- Working with Sage 50, Xero, QuickBooks and AutoEntry \n
- Reviewing and preparing VAT returns \n
- Supporting the preparation of financial statements \n
Administration
\n- \n
- Providing general administrative support \n
- Scanning, filing and document management \n
- Assisting with reception and ad hoc office duties \n
What experience is required:
\nWe're looking for someone who is organised, detail-focused and enjoys working as part of a collaborative team. It is essential to have the following experience, and to be able to work on a Tuesday due to a key client payroll needs:

- Minimum 1 year bookkeeping experience \n
- Minimum 1 year accounting experience \n
- Experience processing payroll \n
- Knowledge of accounting and payroll software \n
- Strong organisational and time management skills \n
- Excellent attention to detail \n
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively \n
- Strong communication skills and a professional approach \n
Other knowledge that this is highly desired but not essential:

- Experience within an accountancy practice \n
- Knowledge of Sage 50, Xero, QuickBooks and AutoEntry \n
- Understanding of pension auto-enrolment requirements \n
