  • Checking in with the transport teams to ensure that national fleet availability supports operational needs.
  • \n
  • Tracking costs and paying invoices to ensure kit is available to support the network.
  • \n
  • Making sure that all costs are in line with budget and processed efficiently.
  • \n
  • Liaising with vehicle maintenance providers to ensure services are meeting agreed requirements.
  • \n
  • Reviewing weekly compliance and implementing corrective actions alongside the Transport Team.
  • \n
  • Supporting investigations and implementing corrective actions when accidents and near misses occur.
  • \n
  • Exploring new technologies and equipment to support efficiencies and environmental practices.
  • \n

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fully accountable for all aspects of health, safety, and compliance within fleet management operations to meet legal requirements as well as the health and safety of 3rd party fleet maintenance providers operating on site and within the DCs Vehicle Maintenance Units (VMUs).
  • \n
  • Fully accountable for the fleet management related aspects of on-time and in-full-service delivery to stores and DCs Working closely with key stakeholders to develop and instil best practices across the network, thereby developing a culture of risk awareness and management across the team.
  • \n
  • Working with transport operational and planning teams to ensure that the core fleet is optimally sized, correctly balanced, and suitably located within the network, to meet operational requirements throughout the year.
  • \n
  • Ensuring that all costs are in line with budget and take action to address any overspend.
  • \n
  • Constructively managing the 3rd party supplier servicing relationship via weekly and monthly reviews to ensure alignment with ASW requirements and contractual obligations.
  • \n
  • Making sure all training material meets ASW standards.
  • \n
  • Ensuring that all relevant legislation is adhered to with regards to driver working hours whilst maximising safety across the transport network.
  • \n
  • Working with site transport teams to ensure compliance met across Fleet maintenance.
  • \n
