\nWe are partnering with a high-profile, market-leading engineering and manufacturing enterprise generating £600m+ in turnover and £35m in operating profit. Backed by ambitious growth plans and an active acquisition strategy, the organisation is undergoing significant expansion. To support this next chapter of commercial scale, they are appointing a strategic Head of Finance to lead the FP&A function.
\nThe Role
\nReporting into the Finance Director, the Head of Finance – FP&A will serve as a key commercial partner across the business and operate as a no.1 to the FD. You will drive financial planning, group forecasting, dynamic strategy modelling, and performance analysis to guide senior leadership through organic expansion and continuous M&A integration.
\nPlease note: The 3 days office base is located in Ballymena NI. Fully expensed travel (flights/accommodation) is provided. Other colleagues fly from Stanstead.
\n\nKey Responsibilities

- Lead the group FP&A strategy, annual budgeting cycles, rolling forecasts, and long-range strategic financial models. \n
- Deliver sharp, actionable financial commentary and decision-support modelling for executive board reporting. \n
- Evaluate inorganic growth opportunities, supporting financial due diligence, commercial appraisal, and M&A integration. \n
- Drive business-partnering initiatives across operational business units to enhance profitability and margin clarity. \n
- Upgrade FP&A tools, reporting systems, and analytical frameworks to support rapid organizational scale. \n
The Candidate
\n- \n
- ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified with significant post-qualification experience. \n
- Proven track record leading an FP&A function within a large, complex, or high-growth enterprise (£100m+ turnover preferred). \n
- Strong background in M&A financial modelling, acquisition integration, or dynamic commercial forecasting. \n
- Exceptional executive-level stakeholder management and business partnering skills. \n
